Setting Intentions To Finish The Year Strong

I think of this time of year as the home stretch of the year.

Football season has started. Baseball season is winding down, and it's truly the home stretch.

It's coming in and finishing strong.

This time of year starts going really fast. I still have the flowers blooming behind me yet they're going to be cutting the gardens back very quickly.

Below are a couple of things to think about in your business as we come into this time of year.

Number one, get ahead on your financial strategy.

Think about the goals you set up for yourself this year.

Have a touch base call with your financial advisors, with your CPAs, your CFOs, and your bookkeepers. Take a look at where you are this year and where you are in your goals compared to last year. Never get stuck behind that eight ball come 2025 in preparing taxes. Being ahead of the game here is important.

Take a look at the other goals you set for yourself.

We set a few goals here at Slater Success.

One intention and goal was around getting our Succession Planning Toolkit launched. That came out earlier this year.

We have been working on my next book, so another intention and goal is to get it out early next year. I'm also going to update the website with that.

It's a matter of not just setting the intentions and coming up with the ideas, but scheduling them so that it actually happens.

See where you are in accomplishing some of your goals and where you are on schedule.

Think about the actions you want to take care of and put in place between now and the end of the year to cross you over that finish line.

Think about your team and what they need in order to accomplish their goals.

Everything I'm talking to you about, you should be talking about to your team. Working together in systems and in support is what helps us all win these games.

I'm a football fan; I'm not a baseball fan, but I am a football fan. So I always like to look at the strategy, and I never want to be that Monday morning quarterback.

See you next time!
