If you have been following our blogs for a while, you know I have talked about the power of relationships for long-term success. Today, I thought I would share some recent stories that truly represent the power and impact of long-term relationships.
Fourteen years ago, I was a sponsor of a company’s one-day event. I had a speaking slot and later had a conversation with one of the participants, which led to her and her partner joining a Business Success Retreat I was hosting shortly after the event.
The power of that particular relationship is gold. Her case history is a great example of a long-term partnership that’s been mutually beneficial on several dimensions:
We have had a business relationship with her company, being a client of Slater Success, for many years. Over time, we have become friends and still meet for coffee and cocktails. We love to see each other as our families continue to grow and evolve, and we have celebrated many successes together.
She referred us to a colleague who was a potential client and later became a long-term client of Slater Success and continues to work with us today.

She mentioned that she will be in town this summer and is reaching out to a bunch of New York connections (including me) to meet up one evening.
