Surviving a Power Loss During a Winter Snow Storm

What would you do if you lost power for 18 hours during a winter snow storm? This happened to us recently.

The first things we did was start a fire but after awhile it became apparent that it just wasn't cutting it. So we called in a support system. They set us up with generators, got water flowing through pipes, we made some gas runs.

After it was over with, we debriefed over hot tea. What did we learn and what did we need to do? As it turns out there are many parallels between this experience and business. How is your team performing?

Do you have the necessary systems and processes in place along with the actions needed to make things happen? If not, now is a good time to shore them all up.
