Q2 – Turn the Page: Recommit. Relaunch. Results.
Wow, Q2 is already here. Where's the time going?
At Slater Success, we always take a moment at the start of each new quarter to pause, check in, and realign — ensuring your path still supports your long-term business vision.
This year, that pause matters more than ever. We’re in a business environment that rewards those who stay sharp and intentional. Yes, there’s uncertainty — elevated interest rates, higher costs, and a labor market that’s shifting under our feet.
And yet, there is reason to be optimistic. AI is creating real efficiencies. Importantly, small business confidence remains steady, with survey results showing resilience and financial stability among small business owners.
Nearly all small businesses (88%) report “stable or growing” revenue as 2026 begins;
Cautious optimism prevails as almost half (45%) report year-over-year revenue growth.

The opportunity exists for those willing to recommit, relaunch, and achieve results. Last year, at this time, you may recall me saying:
“If you’re not looking at it, you’re not doing anything about it either.”
Let’s use this new quarter to recalibrate. Here’s your Q2 pulse check:
Financial Performance
I always recommend starting by looking at your numbers - honestly assess Q1 revenue, margins, and cash flow. With interest rates still high, smart cash management isn’t optional — it’s your foundation. Adjust your Q2 projections accordingly.
Client & Market Trends
Your clients’ needs are evolving. New competitors — some driven by AI — are emerging. Are you staying curious and flexible enough to keep your strategy relevant?
Team & Culture
Your team is your greatest asset. Are they aligned, supported, and energized? In a tight labor market, retention is key.
Business Development & Marketing
Is your pipeline flowing smoothly? Is your messaging clear and effective? Consistency here creates the momentum that will propel you through Q3 and Q4.
Operations & Innovation
Are you losing time or energy? Where? Small businesses using AI tools are gaining back an average of five hours each week. That’s five extra hours for your business. Are you letting that slip away?
Leadership & Vision
Don’t forget to evaluate yourself. Are you focused, delegating, and leading with clarity? Revisit your “why” — and make sure your actions still align with it.
The businesses succeeding now aren’t necessarily the biggest — they’re the most intentional. They paused, recommitted, relaunched, and went after their results with purpose.
That’s precisely what Q2 is designed for!
Need help creating a framework that suits your business, team, and goals? That’s our specialty at Slater Success. Let’s purposefully plan your second quarter — with a clear focus.
