Strategy + Action = Growth: Why Both Matter in Your Business

The other day, I was working with a client on something that might sound familiar to many of you—we were looking at a way to extend an existing stream of income in their business. Nothing brand new, just a smaller, underutilized part of their offering that had the potential to double in revenue with the right focus and strategy.

We uncovered a great opportunity to grow, and the client was energized.
“This is great!” they said.
But then came the next part...
“Now how do I implement?”

And that’s where so many of us get stuck.

The Difference Between Strategy and Execution

That moment reminded me of a question I’m often asked:
“Are you a coach or a consultant?”

My answer?
I do both.

The strategy—the roadmap, the vision, the big picture—that’s the consulting piece.
The implementation—the accountability, the momentum, the clearing of roadblocks—that’s the coaching piece.

Because here’s the truth:
Even the best strategy means nothing without consistent action. And we all, myself included, need accountability to stay in motion and out of our own way.

What’s Working in Your Business Right Now?

Let me ask you:

  • Where are you showing up strategically in your business?

  • Where are you taking consistent action to implement those strategies?

You can’t scale what you haven’t mapped out.
And you can’t grow what you’re not executing on consistently.

That’s why my work with clients always combines both. We create the strategic plan and we work through the implementation—step by step, consistently. Because that’s what creates real, sustainable impact.
