Nurture Your Business By Nurturing Yourself
My family and I just had a great memorial day weekend. I hope you did as well!
We had fun times with my family, celebrating my daughter's birthday.
My kids were in from California.
I spent some quiet time in my garden.
Got a little pickle ball in.
What did you do? How do you spend your downtime that gives you the ability that actually expands your business and what's going on for you?
I have talked before about the importance of slowing down to speed up. Taking the time to nurture ourselves, really taking the time to grow and expand.
A couple of things that have been birthed in the last few months here at Slater Success are some new executive forums that we're going to be hosting. The first one coming up is about the intersection between strategic planning and succession planning.
Succession planning isn't always about retirement. Understand, I created a succession plan to exit my printing company in my mid forties. Most people do not think about succession planning that early. Yet, there are times we shift and move in our industry and our jobs are positioned and our own companies.
Think about what you can do when you take the time for yourself to nurture a little bit. Give your mind, time to expand, think, be creative. What comes up for you? Love to hear about it!
