Generational Family Business - The Vision Of An Entrepreneur

You never know where you're going to meet people.

Recently, we were on vacation in Puglia, and in last week's blog, I highlighted Vito Dicecca, a local cheesemaker who we spent and amazing time with on a tour.

Vito shared his background in cheese making. He shared his home, Al Tamora and he shared about his family and the generations of business they have done. Then he took us around town and introduced us to other long-standing family generational businesses.

Yes, I was on vacation.

I was 100% in the moment, tasting everything and having the best time, and I had an opportunity to connect with an amazing entrepreneur, an amazing visionary, and a great guy, who was also a fabulous host.

The one thing I wanted to share with you today is always be open to everyone you meet and everywhere you are. Business is not done only at networking groups.

Business is not done always at that business meeting.

Business is about connecting to people and truly building a great unique brand around who you are and what you're about, leading into the opportunities that are presented to you.

My biggest tip for you is enjoy meeting new people. Enjoy the conversations.

Don't look to pitch and sell; just look to be present and lean in and take all those learnings and then pass it forward.

If you've not had the chance to check out that blog, check it out.

Vito Deco is an amazing man. He's built an amazing business, and he's edited this fourth generation of his family, which is truly, truly heartfelt to see.
