What Seeds Are You Planting In Your Business This Spring?
For those of you that have been following me for a while, you know I'm a gardener. I post pictures of flowers plants, tomatoes, zucchinis, what I'm cooking with them, and whatever it is,
I'm having a blast. I also have a blast in my business and actually gardening and business growth go along the same lines.
Although the weather is not great here yet in the northeast, I was starting to Google and look up what can I do to fertilize my blueberries to get the greatest growth this summer because the last couple of summers they weren't so good.
Look at that as correlation to my business. I am not touching those blueberry plants until the earliest May. Right now, I'm starting to think about the soil, the fertilizers, what we can add to the soil, and what's best for the plants.
I'm always planning 60 to 90 plus days ahead. I do the same thing in my business. What am I looking for in the second quarter, the third quarter? How am I going to balance the actions I take now and what will the growth of the company during the next 60, 90, and 120 days look like?
I think about things like where we're going to be marketing. We're going to be launching a series for the podcast in April around women leaders in law. We started planning that well before April. We started planning that in January and February. We're also planning a series for June, what we're doing in July and August. The same thing goes for what you're planning for client implementation, bringing in new clients, how you manage, and how you grow.
