Strategic Planning - Guidelines To Grow By

I'm just back from a few days of focusing on my own business, Slater Success. I decided to take a little time and really work on strategic plans for me, myself and my company for 2024. It's important to do every year.

Here are a couple of guidelines that I go by and I also advise my clients to go by all the time.

Take a deep breath. Think about the big vision.

Where do you want to be in your life in the next five years?

Where do you want to be as an organization that fulfills you?

What are the plans that you're going to do to get there?

Are the people on your team going to be the same people?

What might very shift or change all these things that come into effect?

I'm a strong believer that strategic planning and succession planning really go hand in hand.

They work together because we're all going to step in and out at different times. There are going to be planned times and there are going to be unplanned times.

We want to make sure if it's an unplanned time, that we have that team in place, ready to step right on up here at Slater's Success. We've been training some new team members for the last four or five weeks and they're really, really doing a great job and they're really expanding some of the areas that they're taking on, which is thrilling.

Take that opportunity and look at that vision, go big, go to that uncomfortable place and be willing to play there.

Think about what you need to do in your business for your strategic plan, your financial plan, your marketing and sales plan and your team. Those are the four components that intersect for long-term sustainable growth and success.

If you have questions, feel free to reach out. If you want to talk to myself or any of our team members about your strategic plan and your succession plans, don't hesitate to reach out.

I'll see you next time.
