Mergers and Acquisitions - Tips for Success

It seems to be the season of mergers and acquisitions. In harmony with that, I have three tips on what to look for when you're merging, acquiring, or selling. First, is it a culture fit? Organizations need to align to be successful. Second, look at the financials. Are your financials in order? Are your reports up to date? Can you quickly access any information you may need? Third, is a merger, acquisition, or sale part of your short- and long-term business goals? If not, you may need to dig deeper to know if it's right for your business at this time. Finally, create a pro and con list. This helps to see clearly if you should move forward and if you do, what to prepare for.
