Never sit stagnant. That’s the message this week. It’s easy to keep what we have, stick with what we know, disconnect when we feel overwhelmed and stay in our small circles. But that gets us nowhere!
Just the other week, my calendar looked pretty daunting. I was working on a few deadline-driven activities and I thought about canceling my spiritual session I attend twice a month because I felt like I needed time to work on the other things.
I thought about it a lot and decided NOT to cancel and it was the best decision I made that day.
I realized it was more of a priority to work on myself and take a step away from the screen so I could find that needed refresh.
For me, doing that work put me into a completely different mindset. After my session, I felt less stressed, more confident and was inspired to take on my work challenges.
Even when we’re busy, we need to make time for the processes and people that keep us in flow.
We have been talking about new branding here at Slater Success for almost a year. While we have made progress, we still need website updates and a photo shoot and new PowerPoint slides, you name it. Brand, business and life is ever evolving.
We keep these items on our agenda and in our team meetings, holding ourselves accountable to not only do a great job for our clients, but also for our own brand!
Take care of your business just as you do with those you serve. It’s important to keep the energy you have with your clients just as high for your own brand and your personal and business development.
Show up in your marketing, your social media, your speaking and your networking.
Your business transforms all the time and the world needs to know! Keep your audience updated. They might have a view of what you do that is quite different from what you actually do.
I encourage you to think of one area of your business you can improve. What is a brand activity that keeps getting pushed back? How about a business activity? Marketing? Sales? Finance? Team? Take one small action step today toward that goal.
