Relationships to Solutions

We dedicated the entire month of June to highlighting amazing women leaders in law, both on our podcast and our LinkedIn Live shows.

women leaders in law gratitude

In looking at the American Bar Association National Population Survey from 2021, the legal field is still highly dominated by males. Only 37% of lawyers in the US are women.

The women I welcomed on these episodes are truly dynamic and share a wealth of experience and insight during their interviews. I wanted to reflect back and provide all the links right here in this newsletter, so you can easily go back and listen.

When I planned to do this series, I emailed my colleagues and clients in the field and within minutes were sent referrals. The gratitude I feel at the way my network always comes through and wants to highlight others is simply wonderful.

I’m beyond lucky to work with so many women lawyers and exceptional men in the community as clients and now connect with even more through this series. Hearing their stories and experiences has helped me grow as a leader and a coach, gaining an even deeper understanding of their challenges and celebrations.

One of the most empowering lessons I can leave with you is the power of support.

I have trained various organizations, firms, corporations, nonprofits and others on the value of your relationships and your network. Through a comment on my monthly visionary leadership call, an email and a mention, seven interviews were created. Most importantly, seven new relationships were created and that is so valuable.

Are you taking time weekly to put attention on your relationships? Today as I write this, I have a touch base call with someone I was connected to during the height of the pandemic. She did an interview for my next book, a guest spot on Slater Success Live on Linked In and today we are seeing how our summers and gardens are growing.

I encourage you to block your calendars weekly, or once a month or more, in advance of relationship connections and opportunities. Stay in your follow up.
