They Know a lot More in 2020...

My children are adults, but they still need their mom. Especially when it comes to financial conversations. They often come to me asking questions I wasn’t thinking about at their age. They think about savings, about buying a home, about insurance. They want to learn how to budget properly and spend wisely. I’m very proud.

I know our Thanksgiving table, even if it’s over Zoom, will include many updates on life and career. I want to say how grateful I am for health, family, friends, team and business this year.

they know a lot more in 2020

Just like my kids still need their mom, business owners at mature and accomplished levels, still need support. They need to ask questions. They need to continue their personal growth.

It’s our job as leaders to empower one another, hold one another accountable, share our wisdom and resources and be of service.

Last week, I sent out an email about my brand new round table program launching in January. It’s exactly what I’m talking about when it comes to support.

The lawyer that’s had a profitable practice for 10 years, sitting by the financial expert who just celebrated 20 years in business, sitting by the retail store owner with just 5 years under their belts. They all bring value to the table.

The lawyer knows how to bill time. The lawyer in 2020 now knows how to manage a remote team or how to handle contracts in a COVID-19 era.

The financial expert is consistently working a financial plan. The financial expert in 2020 is in the know on applying for special loans or funding because of the pandemic.

The retail owner knows about customer service. The retail owner in 2020 now knows how to pivot and overcome challenges, open an online store or use social media to keep customers updated during this time.

Every person at the table brings experience that results in ideas, knowledge, strategy and motivation for others.

Whether you join a program like mine or find your support through other coaches, colleagues, family or friends, don’t ever stop seeking new answers. Don’t ever stop being part of the conversation and learning something new. Don’t even try to go it alone when so many others are facing the same fears.

Our world continues to remain uncertain. As we sit at our Thanksgiving tables this week, the conversations will reflect on what a difference a year makes, so plan forward for the coming year. Stay strong, stay creative, stay safe, stay in touch and stay in action. I am a resource, here for a conversation and here for support.
