My #1 Tip to Gain Clarity on Your Vision

Are you showing up for the long-term vision and giving yourself an opportunity to dream with clarity? Find my number one tip to achieve that below.

My husband, Michael, and I just celebrated 35 years of marriage! This is, of course, one of the most precious relationships in my life and one that is constantly changing and shifting.

A marriage is very much like a business. It’s a journey and you will work through challenges, as well as joys. Remaining focused on what is truly important and the long-term vision is the goal.

I remember five years ago, for our 30th, we took a trip and in that pause, I found a wealth of creativity flowing into my mind.

Gain Clarity on Your Vision

As we sat at dinner and sipped cocktails on the beach, we talked about our life and reconnected on that deep level all couples need, but we also talked business.

I made some really major decisions sitting in those beach chairs that have culminated in great success for my company. It’s where I first dreamed about doing the podcast and writing another book.

The pause is where the clarity for your vision is revealed.

Where are you finding yours?

It doesn’t have to be a trip. It can be a simple pause and they should occur often.

For me, I enjoy coloring a picture or taking a walk. Both of those allow me to focus on something else. Whether it’s what color crayons I’ll use or how beautiful the trees look in Autumn.

We need to get out of the everyday rush and pause. Otherwise, we stay too involved solving short-term problems and forget to dream about opportunity and growth.

Now more than ever, with our eyes focused on the screen for even longer amounts of time than usual, stepping away is necessary for many reasons.

Take your pause. As you are reading this today I am taking a pause for our 35th wedding anniversary. A few days in Maryland, social distancing friend visits and a walk by the shore.  What will be developed from this experience, stay tuned. Pauses always bring interesting and creative ideas I implement.
