It’s harvest season. Pumpkins everywhere!

Are you picking what’s ripe in your business from your year of planting?
Was 2019 full of seeds that blossomed or are you finding an empty garden?

You had goals in January.
What happened?
How many came to pass?
If they didn’t, why?

My daughter, Alex, and I were peeling apples, LOTS of apples, for my infamous sour cream apple pie (click here for my special recipe) and as each peel hit the countertop, I kept thinking about the past year.

I shed a lot of things that weren’t serving me. I switched to different technology platforms, focused on where I wanted the business to go instead of doing the same old and made big investments along the way. I put self-care first, stopped scheduling myself into overwhelm and asked for help and support when I needed it.

And as that finished apple pie came out of the oven, I thought about all the goals I have achieved this year.

My podcast continues to grow and I’ve connected with so many amazing people through that work. My second book hit bestseller status and I’ve been able to use my words to impact others on their journey. I’ve spoken at many events and built relationships with new people every quarter. And now in a few weeks, I’m hosting my first-ever Slater Success Circle, a round table for women business owners. This is something I have wanted to do for years and now it’s finally happening.

Consistent action nets results. Planting seeds brings an abundance of success.

Stop what you are doing right now and take out a pen and paper. Write down 1-3 goals. Now stick that paper up somewhere you can see it. Everyday, take one step toward those goals. It might be reaching out to a resource for help, creating a timeline, researching or taking a class.

Use the next few months to cultivate a vision for 2020. Plan forward.

As we near closer to the end of the year, you have the opportunity to plant seeds for the harvest you want next year. If I can help you with that in any way, please reach out.

And if you’re really brave, send me a picture of those goals you posted to hold yourself accountable to the work! I’ll check in with you to hear about your progress.
